Carlos Ghosn, Chief Executive Officer, Nissan Motor Co. Ltd, today unveiled the company’s all new Micra, the fourth generation of the iconic city car, at the 80th International Geneva Motor Show.
Boasting breakthrough packaging and small-car engineering, the all-new, fourth generation Nissan Micra (known as March in Japan) is on course to create a whole new set of industry standards. Unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show, the Micra has consistently won praise and success for in Europe, Japan and other markets, gaining a reputation as a reliable, stylish, accessible compact car enjoyed by a wide cross-section of customers. Coming now, with a world premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show (4th to 14th March), is a completely new generation of this best seller. Equipped for the first time with sliding doors in the back, the 2010 Sharan has been enhanced in every area. There are only two parts that the new and the old Sharan have in common: the sun visors. Everything else – every screw, every exterior and interior part and all of the technology, including the TDI and TSI engines (103kW / 140PS to 147kW / 200PS) and transmission systems (DSG optional) – is new. Today Michael Macht, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Porsche, presented the Porsche 918 Spyder concept car at its world debut in Geneva. This mid-engined two-seater combines the performance of a super-sports car with the CO2 emissions of a small compact, an innovative plug-in hybrid concept reducing emissions to just 70 grams CO2 per kilometre and fuel consumption to 3.0 litres/100 kilometres (94 mpg imp). Within this concept Porsche combines a V8 power unit delivering more than 500 hp and three electric motors with overall output of 160 kW.
